Jebale @ The Portal is a spacious, cozy, and inviting coffee shop tucked away on a side street near Clark College and Fort Vancouver. It is a hidden gem with a large, unique, and clean space that welcomes everybody, creating a super chill and warm relaxing environment. The cafe features a cozy fireplace, a quiet corner for work, a kid's corner, and long tables suitable for meetings, studying, or dates.

The coffee is delicious and focuses exclusively on Ugandan coffee from the same farmers, highlighting specific beans and terroir. The espresso carries unique notes of raspberry and kiwi. Popular drinks include an excellent pumpkin spice latte, a highly recommended vanilla latte, and a balanced, in-house family recipe chai. All syrup flavors are made in-house, though none are sugar-free. Drink sizes for staying cap at 12oz, with 16oz available to-go.

The menu is small but offers gluten-free baked goods, with half also being vegan and nondairy. They serve delicious pastries. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and fits the warm environment. The business is connected to the church next door and is expanding its food program and specialty drinks. Parking can be tricky, especially when a regular Bible study group uses the space. It is considered the best coffee shop in Vancouver and a must-visit local spot.
