First time there. Cozy atmosphere. Wait staff was super helpful. A very friendly and knowledgeable black woman walked us through the whole menu. We had three or four appetizers all the way to dessert.
I had higher hopes for this place. Menu looked good, good atmosphere, service is pretty slow, foods good but portions are small. Got the chicken fried steak. I’ve paid half of what I paid here and gotten twice the amount of food at other places. 26.50 for a small piece of chicken fried steak and a measly amount of mashed potatoes was not what I was expecting.
Just moved to the neighborhood. We have visited this establishment 5 times since, and the food quality is sporadic. Great bar layout, wait staff, and atmosphere; however the food is hit and miss. Had the fried chicken 4 times, and out of 2 of those times (same order) was severley over fried/cooked. Brocollini was undercooked and a quite rubberish. Received 2 split orders of jambalaya which is odd, as it was supposed to be 1 complete coherent dish per menu. Second bowl of jambalaya...
