absolutely lovely winery… professional staff… and wine that doesn’t taste like cheap fruit wine in the upper midwest…. i’m a gay guy that has been to wineries on 4 different continents… Von Stiehl created something special in Wisconsin. if you’re thinking of going here, do it!
My friends and I spent the day tasting door county wineries, this was our first stop and by far the best. Great wine, great hospitality and the cider bar was outstanding as well. Really nice location. Out of the seven or so places we went this was my favorite and I will definitely be back.
Went on a tour of the Von Stiehl winery with a group of friends during the “off season”. Was unable to get the full tour due to a private party booking, but it was still a fun time! This history of the building was interesting and the basement barrel room was beautiful (and a little spooky)! Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, but soft spoken and therefore difficult to hear her presentation. We were really looking forward to the wine tasting that followed...
