Altoona Family Restaurant Reviews
I have eaten at The Altoona Family Restaurant many times but today was not a good experience. My wife and I were disappointed with our breakfast being served luke warm. My skillet and her omelet were both warm and the butter on the toast was not melted. I did not complain because I didn’t want to make a scene. I hope this is an isolated incident and that the restaurant management reads reviews.
one of the most expensive restaurants around. $19 for 4 fried egg and bacon and cup of coffee. outrageous. everything they make using their curiously terrible home made bread is very awful like toast, and French toast. it's hard thick and dry. bring lots of money to eat here.
Great customer service and amazing food. Good portions as well.

Altoona Family Restaurant offers great service and an extensive menu with daily specials. This kid-friendly restaurant has options for kids and is wheelchair accessible. The food is delicious, with popular items like navy bean soup, patty melt, and Belgian waffles. The pancakes are light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, and there are some great vegetarian options available at breakfast. The restaurant is always busy, which speaks to its good food, and the staff provides quick seating and prompt service. Meals come out hot, quickly, and in generous portions. The atmosphere is lively, with a busy but welcoming environment, making it a popular choice for breakfast and other meals. With amazing taste, low prices, and friendly staff, it's no wonder many visitors plan to return when in the area. The food has definitely been improved, with the best crispy French fries and an excellent double patty Patty Melt. The hot turkey sandwich tasted homemade. The California skillet and French toast/eggs/bacon were delicious. The fresh squeezed orange juice and French toast were amazing, and the pancakes were perfect, some of the best ever had. Hash browns with crispy bacon were perfect, and even the scrambled eggs and coffee were tasty, not bitter. The restaurant was cute inside, with yellow stripes and blue.
