My fiancé and I come up to Appleton for a stay-cation once a year. Lawlss is our favorite stop. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Super personable staff. And most of all amazing coffee and muffins. Our favorite café in Appleton.
Edit: increasing from 2 to 4 stars based on the owner's response. The offer of a refund/gift card is appreciated but not necessary as I was visiting from out of town. I appreciate their ownership of the issue.

If you’re looking for a relaxed cozy corner to enjoy lunch or just a cup of Java, this could be your new hangout. Conveniently located downtown Appleton plenty of parking on any of the side streets and a quick short walk from almost anywhere downtown and worth it.
