“I would go to this place again! If you are looking to watch a sports game, or just have a good time this is the place for you! The owner is down to earth, which is a great quality for this type of business!”
“This is the most delightful small town bar in really incredibly beautiful scenery. The owner, also tending, wasn't irritated in the slightest by all my questions about the really great collection of trinkets he has obviously collected through his own travels. At some point another guy came and helped turn out some food (also ate here, the homemade fries are truly made with love) and we chatted for a minute as well. All in all I highly recommend taking a beverage and or food break here if you are out on a ride or a leisurely drive... Or better yet just plan a day drive around stopping here. The mask and Pearl (the fish) stood out to me, the rest you will have to come and experience yourself.”
“Lucky's is and always will be the place to be. Great food, drinks, family, friends. It never ends. The staff is amazing friendly and always on the ball I recommend to any and all!”
“Great pizza, fabulous ice cream!! I find the pepperoni is too spicy for me but everything else I've tried so far was very good - even the crab rangoon pizza, which I was very skeptical of”
“I always love coming here when I am heading out of town. It is the perfect stop for my little road trip. The iced caramel macchiato is perfection and the women working are always so nice.”
“So cool!!! Awesome food awesome bartender, Erin, and I got to meet the Mayor and High School Principal in town. I felt like I was in a scene from Twin Peaks. I can’t say enough about the atmosphere and crowd. An ethnographic portal into small town America. Absolutely awesome and way worth the stop on boat, foot, or car.Edit 3/23/24 - BE CAREFUL OF “TOWNIES”!!! While 99% of this town of 42 people is awesome, the other 1% are complete belligerent IDIOTS that drink way way way too much and whose wives apologize for their husband’s idiocy. I learned the hard way tonight with a Clayton resident that I am far from welcome by all in this town……”
“such great atmosphere! And amazing and appreciated trust from the staff as they didn't mind me popping out to grab some cash (it's cash only btw!!!) while my food was prepped ???”
“Best place to get Chinese food in the PDC area. Extremely quick and friendly service despite how busy they are. Huge portions and delicious food. The seating area is nothing fancy for dining in, but the food and service definitely make it a place to stop. We also enjoy using the take out option also.”
“We were in the area for work and decided to call in for take-out! Walking into the restaurant was welcoming, customer service was quick to approach and the food was absolutely phenomenal! We ordered 4 meals and EVERYONE loved everything they got! We highly recommend anyone in the area thats local or just passing thru to give the Stadium Bar and Grill a taste!Food items we tried:*Steak Sandwich w/ breaded mushrooms*Boneless BBQ wings and mozzarella sticks*Shrimp basket*Chicken tenders”
“First time visiting this location and we will be back! It is very inviting both inside and out. It is ver spacious inside and well lit with natural lighting. The patio has lots of seating options and lots of flowers, beware of bees this time of year. We sampled several beers and they were good quality beers. A good variety of different styles so there is something for many different tastes. If you are in the area this is a must stop.”
“A wonderful breakfast stop while we were traveling a small one of a kind. Portions were huge and the food was good. Busy place, small town cafe. Great service! Support Small Business!”
“Came back here for supper tonight and brought my nephew along. Food was great as always and were fortunate enough to have a train and a barge go by while we were eating.”
“My favorite breakfast spot in the area. The quality of the breakfast food is unrivaled. Highly recommend. Friendly staffWheelchair accessibility: The have a ramp and very kind and understanding of circumstances”
“We heard they make the best pizza in town. We stopped in for the first time and ordered our go-to pizza. Thin crust sausage, onion, and green olive. Was delicious and definitely recommend trying this place out for a great pizza. ?”
“I'm a pilot... Flew in from Des Moines, Iowa on a fun cross country and stopped for some food. We pulled up 30 minutes before close and the staff was friendly. Food came quick and was hot. Tasted good and well priced. Will fly back again!”
“WOW .... do yourself a favor and stop in for a burger. Fresh hand-pattied beef, and you could tell. We are not locals but the patrons were friendly, the gal at the bar was very nice and we felt welcomed. Thank you!!”
“Stopped in on a Friday afternoon ride. So didn't get food but the owner was awesome, Stopped his other project and visited with us for the time we were there. I recommend the drink, Hairy Buffalo, it is awesome.”
“I haven't been to a Hardee's for a while, but the food was the same as I remembered it. The only difference was the price. I know everything is going up, but $15 for a meal for just myself and I only got a medium drink and fries. I would rather fix a burger at home for that price!”
“cool bar right on the Mississippi River. outdoor deck on the water. pool tables, high and low tops, merch. We didn't eat but looked like decent bar food. rough hewn beams, wood floors. good vibe. fair prices.”
“Met my friend there for lunch. Nice little place in a nice little town. I looked over the menu and asked for a recommendation from our waitress. The chef popped over the counter and said his favorite was the Shipwreck Omelette. Done! My friend ordered the Double Hamburger. We also ordered a side of Onion Rings. Everything was great! We plan on revisiting!”
“The food and drinks here were phenomenal! The men got steaks, which they both said were amazing. I got the seafood pasta, and can truly say that it was the best seafood I've ever had. The noodles were a bit overcooked, but it was still really good. My mother in law got chicken Parm which she said was good as well, same comment about the noodles being overcooked. All in all, it was a great night and a good experience!”
“We stopped there Saturday and the bartender was bartending and doing the food she did a very good job She was trying to keep up I think the owner needs to acknowledge her in the great work”
“In town to see the Hole in the Sock Gang, we stopped for food. The owner was very friendly. The main street is being redone, and it is affecting all the businesses. Try to support them.”
“This is a quintessential Midwest bar, great atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and nice and so are the locals. The prices are what makes this place so special, ur not gonna spend a fortune to have fun!”
“The food is great, the prices are still pre-covid, which is amazing. Atmosphere is older, but homey, reminds me of when I'd go for brunch with my grandparents. Really the only "negative" is parking”
“It was a sports bar / Diner vibe. I got the chicken mole, was tasty, but definitely not traditional as far as I could tell. My friend got the Pollo a la Diabla and we could barely tell the two apart. The cheese quesadilla I got for my 3-year-old was not good, tasted very artificial and stale, but she ate the rice. Overall 6.5/10”
“As soon as you walk in the door you are one of the regulars and the owner Bart adopt you into his family. Great place to stop for a quick refresher or catch the game. Go Hawks!!”
“My wife, daughter and I stopped in to get dinner for ourselves and my father-in-law. We LOVE the pizza here!!! It's delicious!!! Always the freshest ingredients always a kind and wonderful staff. My father in-law loves a supreme type pizza but since my mother-in-law passed away his appetite hasn't been the same so he doesn't eat as much. Because of this we get him the Mini Murphy. For a little extra they will give you all the toppings you need for a supreme. For people who are single, elderly, or dieting this is a wonderful option. Mini Murphy's don't just have to be for kids. Plus you even get the temporary tattoos in the box. I still haven't gotten my father-in-law to put on one yet but I'm trying. Lol. Thanks again though to everyone at Papa Murphy's for all they do and for the delicious food!!!!Kid-friendliness: Staff is very friendly with our child and other children that came in while we were there. They also give the temporary tattoos with the Mini Murphy pizza.Parking: There are plenty of spots to park in. The lot is always plowed and clear of snow. In the spring, summer, and fall it is always clean.”
“The ribs are to die for and stating at the hotel is an experience that everyone should try. We've stayed here at least 1/2 dozen times and we'll continue to come back for the great hospitality and food.”
