Arrived at a family home and barn which was cool. Took an uncomfortable hair ride before dinner, then were seated at tables in very warm barn. Buffet style food except for pork. Major attitude from girl serving pork. Hopefully she isn’t family because she was so rude about taking an extra roll to a guy but nobody told us differently. And my mother took a bit more green beans because she didn’t have any salad. As I said the barn was warm and unomfortable. The music was ok but...
Hay ride before the meal. Food was good but no seconds for my hungry grandsons. Old fashioned strawberry shortcake dessert was nice. Nice new barn / hall with separate seating for the meal and show. 6 piece country style band did a nice job. Maybe an hour show of country and folk music was nice. Was too expensive for what we experienced in my opinion. Nice enough way to spend the evening.
Our group was welcomed by the family and 5aken on a hay ride tour of the farm. The dnner buffet was adequate but not impressive. Barbecue was good, but the serving was small. Sides included green beans, cole slaw and salad. After dinner the band provided about an hour of opry-style music. Audience members were invited to the stage to participate. On the whole, it was a fun evening.
