Chester's Fried Chicken

Stopped in today to see if their potato wedges were the same as if they were bought at a grocery store that sells the Chester brand. Well the wedges are different, but these were still really good. The chicken strips here were much better than the ones you get in the grocery store. They also had a chicken sandwich that was a breast and not a couple strips thrown between 2 buns. Chester's Chicken is okay, but not what I was hoping it would be. The name harkens to the legacy of previous years, but now it's basically a fast food place that focuses more on ethnic Mexican food than on its namesake, chicken. I had the chicken tenders and potato wedges, which were so-so, but the deep fried corn-on-the-cob was a pleasant surprise.

I really do love this place, my only real issue is that the staff that has taken my orders has literally no enthusiasm. I get it... I'd rather not be inside a restaurant on a beautiful day, but I want to feel like a restaurant wants my business. Not like they wish i want there so they could keep playing with their phones. That being said I've always been totally satisfied with my food. A couple of times they didn't quite have something I wanted and happily offered a substitute....read full review
