“This was our first time trying J's and it didn't let us down. They were very helpful with the menu explaining the options. When I asked about the Cole slaw they offered a sample. The brisket had a great "crust" with lots of peppery flavor. Was pretty lean which I like. Cole slaw didn't have dairy and uses a mustard sauce which I'm a big fan of. Didn't try the beans or sauces so can't comment there.Dietary restrictions: When I asked about dairy in the Cole slaw the answer came back quick and the cook even came out to ask if I needed help with anything else on the menu including what had egg. Super cool!I'm sure it was easier because it wasn't overly busy. But it made for an excellent experience. Thank you!“
“Born in the 50's, I love the background music. If you are looking for a fantastic bang for your buck...you've found it. Great food, service, prices and quantity. My wife and I could have split a sandwich. This was our first visit, but we'll be back.“
“I had the chicken chili. It was delicious. They have a decent selection of beers beyond the usual swill that is served everywhere else. We shared a pizza. It was good. I didn't particularly care for the flavor of the sauce, but that is just a matter of personal taste. Everyone else seemed to really like it. The cheese was a little light for my liking, but again, everyone else was OK with it. There was a fair amount of toppings evenly distributed across the pizza. We ordered the meat special, which includes pepperoni, sausage and I forget what all else. The service was very good, not surprisingly because we were the only party in the dining area, but our server was very pleasant and friendly. My family got to talking to her about the change of ownership of the place and she had nothing but nice things to say about her bosses, the owners. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.I don't see the chicken chili on the list to recommend but I do recommend it. It is very tasty.“
“So some claim to be a gem hidden in a small town.... Then there is the Art Bar. This is hands down a must visit not only for visitors but for our locals around here. An amazing atmosphere that actually encourages talking to people instead of staring at screens. Even without a single TV my wife and I both had an amazing time and this will be our new spot in town. The Art Tinis are amazing and I will be coming here at least every week if not more.“
