“Staying at the nearby Fred Thomas Resort, 4 fellas from outside the area needed a cool local place to watch the Lions slap around the Packers. This place did not disappoint. In the first quarter, Goff threw a questionable pass that ended up in the hands of Green Bay's Ford. Rough start, but Detroit's tenacious defense shut the Pack down. From there, the Lions landed a number of blows, beginning with an Amon-Ra St. Brown touchdown. Did you see that Lambeau Leap. The fans were unimpressed. And another 2 by David Montgomery (I think from Montgomery Gentry fame). That took us to the halftime report where Richard Sherman broke down the Packers' follies with clairvoyant-like insight. Then he sent it back to the human smokeshow, host Charissa Thompson.3rd quarter, Green Bay fought back with gradeschoolesque might, scoring a touchdown and tacking on a 2-point conversion. That brought the score to 27-11. Detroit on top. Could the Packers do it? As this was a live game, we had yet to see. But at the time of this review, it was already clear, they could not. I'm getting ahead of myself. The final quarter was largely inconsequential. The crowd was distracted. And the drinks were flowing.Pitchers of mules, pudding shots, a darn fine burger (w/ jojos). The crowd was raucus. Victoria was gracious. I think a taxidermied walleye ate my friend's foam lion. The bathrooms were clean.Would definitely return. Migh not be welcome.Parking: Whistled right on in there.”

“The selection of coffee drinks was large and varied. The staff was friendly, as well as helpful in suggesting seasonal drink options. The baked goods were fresh. Ample lite lunch options, as well. It also sells gift merchandise. The indoor seating was sufficient, but not spacious due to the merchandise. I believe the outdoor seating would be awesome when the weather permit.”

“My wife has been swearing for the last couple of years that they make the best bacon blue cheese burger in the northland. I've been trying to make it out during kitchen hours to try one and yesterday was finally the day. About the burger. Lots of burgers these days are half-pound behemoths loaded with another half-pound of toppings. Why do we somehow think 2-3x a normal size serving is what we need in this country these days?Burger is reasonably sized, beef has a big flavor and was nicely seasoned. Bacon was crispy, blue cheese plentiful and nicely melted. Bun was lightly toasted. Wife is right! Go see Bob and tell him you want a blue cheese burger. If you're in the mood, start with a Bloody Mary while you're waiting. Great little place that you have to go looking for if you're in an on-road vehicle. Pretty easy to find if you follow the signs while riding the local trails.”

“Took a little drive (30 mins) to see if the hype was real about the fish fry! It was well worth the drive! Nothing fancy; small town bar that was either gonna be a lesson learned or gold mine! Well, it was a gold mine! The fish was incredible! Four nice-sized pieces, deep fried in a perfect batter. Batter was light and crisp while the fish was fresh and flaky! Strongly recommend giving this little off the grid place a try!”
