We stayed in Conover for about a week, had dinner at the Wild Turkey twice, and it wasn't enough. The food was TOP NOTCH and couldn't be better. The panfish dinner with Bluegill & Perch was by far THE BEST fish dinner I've had at any restaurant, and I'm a fish fanatic and an avid fisherman. Great food! Friendly staff. Had the pan fry fish fry with bourbon whipped mashed potatoes, so good. Generous portions, included 4 bluegill & 4 perch, coleslaw and rye bread. So good! My husband had the walleye with asparagus. Delicious. Enjoyed the whiskey old fashioned press, spectacular! Will definitely come back.
We came here during our one year wedding anniversary since we got engaged in the UP. Diane (I believe that was her name) took care of us and provided great service. We had their ribeye steak and it was absolutely delicious. My husband and I were very happy with our visit here and would love to come again.
