“Our seating was opposite of the bar near the entryway and the partition wall greatly isolated the bar racket. We ordered the NY strip and the slow roasted prime rib. Fries, scalloped potatoes, and chili were sides. The fries had been sitting long enough to be only warm, but I could tell when they were fresh they would have had a good subtle crisp. The scalloped potatoes and chili were great. The NY was seasoned well and was perfectly cooked to medium. The 24-hour slow roasted prime rib (Saturdays) was very tender, though the flavor could have been better. The aus jus saved it and was good. We decided to also order the desserts of a grasshopper (one of the best I've had) and cheesecake. This was house made pumpkin cheesecake and was of a generous portion. My wife and I would eat here again. We might have to come back sooner than expected for more chili! Keep an eye out for drunk townies. Some dude in his 60's with a group thought it was a good idea to quickly fake lunging out in front of my car as I was pulling in. It was 5pm. Bro, you gotta live long enough to get SSI and your AARP card. Be less stupid.”

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck us as both elegant and inviting. The decor was sophisticated, setting the perfect tone for a delightful meal. Upon our arrival, the executive chef greeted us with a warm smile, which immediately made us feel welcomed. With our excitement, we dove into the menu and decided to sample a variety of dishes: lomo saltado, paella, ceviche mixto, truffle yuca fries, and anticucho. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing just the right balance of flavors. We savored every bite, feeling completely satisfied yet still we left a room for dessert. We chose to indulge in alfajores, arroz con leche, and pisco tres leches. She even has us try the passion fruit juice and one of their specialty dessert. Desserts were the perfect ending to our meal, the ideal balance of sweetness and texture that we wanted. Overall, our experience at AmarPeru was fantastic! We left feeling full and happy, already planning our return to explore more of their culinary offerings. It was a wonderful opportunity to immerse ourselves in a different culture's cuisine, and I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended for anyone looking to try something new and delicious. No me gusta si no es fresco, o si tiene mucha grasa, y si tiene paquetes de sazón, se me enchina el cuerpo y me da un dolorón de cabeza que no aguanto (literal, porque le tengo alergia al glutamato monosodico). “We had our first dinner tonight at the Old Feed Mill! First, we were so impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. The waitstaff were very friendly and the warm homemade bread they serve is out of this world delicious. Our first round of drinks were spot on. The old fashions had just the right amount of sweet with a healthy portion of bitters and enough brandy to make my light weight cheeks flush. LOL! There were 3 different entrees ordered: chicken picatta, deep fried cod, deep fried walleye. Both fish dishes had the deep fried potato slices and the chicken dishes were served with root veggies and rice pilaf. The chicken was so tender and smothered in this light and buttery sauce. The pilaf was very tasty and so were the veggies. Both fish dishes were very delicious with the right portions of fish and potatoes. They also had a side of coleslaw. Everything was gone when we were done (well those of us who ordered the fish). The chicken dishes were so large we had to take a portion home. We’ve lived in mount Horeb for 8 years and this is our first visit. Can’t believe we haven’t found this gem sooner. This is a restaurant we will definitely go back to frequently. The last comment I’ll make is that it was also very reasonably priced. For two people, 4 drinks, 2 entrees, side salads and 1 dessert it was $82.00. That’s typical prices for just the food in some areas of Dane County!”
