“We've had brisket across the US, and this was surprisingly the best we've had. To be honest, we were headed to Roadhouse for pizza, and they were closed. Our son said J's was recommended by his friends in Madison who went there. A little resistant to go, we went, and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back. The rub on their brisket is out of this world!!! The service was also top-notch!!! I highly recommend it!!!”

“I’m back here again and let me tell you this is a must stop place!! Not only do they serve Wisconsin favorites, but their elevated menu offers dishes that rival big-city restaurants. Their Friday fish special is unbeatable. This past Friday they had scallops which were perfectly seared, buttery, and paired with vibrant seasonal flavors. Actually the corn from the dish was from a local farm stand, delicious. We also got the beet & goat cheese salad, a delectable contrast of sweet, tangy, and nutty flavors. For drinks I went with the The Lime in the Coconut which is a fun take on a daiquiri with coconut cream, lime, and a hint of Tajín for balance. The creative drink list—featuring favorites like the Dragon Rita Tini and James Hendrix—makes this the perfect place for dinner and drinks.”
