About White Gull Inn
White Gull Inn Reviews
We love the White Gull Inn! The restaurant has been one of our favorite places for 50+ years! We’ve also enjoyed staying there.
Their fish boils are fun mini-history sessions, complete with tasty fish and pie.
Also - I lost my handkerchief there, and wasn’t able to come back to check for it until a couple of days later. They had kept it! And they gave it back to me! They’re the best!
Hands down, the best breakfast I’ve ever had had. Every dish we all had was excellent!

White Gull Inn is a well-loved breakfast spot in Door County, known for its delicious meals with a personal touch. Their Door County Cherry pancakes are a standout, served with a generous helping of pure maple syrup. The eggs are cooked perfectly, and the homemade corned beef hash is a highlight. Visitors also enjoy the stuffed French toast, which has been praised as excellent, along with bacon that is described as delicious. The restaurant offers a friendly atmosphere with attentive service that keeps cups full and plates hot. Many guests find it to be one of their favorite places in Door County, especially for breakfast, and some have experienced memorable traditions like the local fish boil, which is held on certain nights and involves a fun outdoor show with the chef preparing the meal. The fish boils are also enjoyed as fun mini-history sessions, complete with tasty fish and pie. The White Gull Inn provides a warm and welcoming environment, with outdoor seating available, although some guests recommend sitting inside to avoid bees attracted to nearby berry trees. Overall, it combines great food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere that makes it a must-visit destination.
