“Have never came in during the day but this is a spot we (my friends and I) hit on a weekly basis at night and we wouldn’t change it. We specially enjoy coming when Justin, the GM is in because we’ve developed a great relationship with him but all bartenders are great. We love coming here the drinks and the prices the atmosphere and the loyal regulars we see when we come. Just the best place!“

“Our reception had the perfect setting at Garver. So spacious and flexible in design that every one of our ideas was doable. The staff were so creative and attentive to whatever I wanted. It can be so overwhelming trying to deside but Danelle was so good at helping to nail down our vision and make suggestions that enhanced our vision. “This is a hidden gem on Madison campus with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The food is tasty, portions are generous, and prices are very affordable for students. A perfect spot to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the scenery.
Parking is difficult on school days so prepare yourself to walk or plan where to park before going in here.“

“I planned a 30 person surprise brunch party at Madison’s and they did a great job in every way. They were specifically good at communicating before hand and adjusting to my requests like ordering a champagne tower, and having drinks for me and my fiancée ready at the door when we walked in. Food and drinks were quick and the price was in my budget. I worked with Andrea, Henry, Hailey and Rachel was our server. The staff seemed like they were genuinely having a great time with us and having this party.“

“I love the Mason, been going there for years. Love how basically nothing has changed, always great beer on tap, liquor selection and you have the option to order food from Falbos and enjoy it with an amazing beer that has been carefully catered. Everytime I have a chance to go out and enjoy a relaxing and refreshing experience I go to the Mason, shout out to Matt!“

“Huge shout out to the Wine Reserve. We have been here many of times & have always enjoyed ourselves. Wonderful food,as well as, drinks, and even some great entertainment. This even I left my purse full of cash & credit cards. Oops!!! All of which was promptly returned to me. Due to the attentive bartender, noticing before I even had. They called shortly after we arrived home. Could not be more impressed with this establishment & their employees!“

“The food is simple (sandwich, salads, burger and a few other options) but tasty. The staff is friendly and makes sure yi ur experience is good, and the decor is nice. Bonus point for the nice selection of whisky and spirits, great for a restaurant. Also, during happy hour a few items are very fairly priced. Went twice, loved it both times, and will come back again. Thank you for the hard work!“

“Be cognizant of what you order. You can still get regular mixers and beers for a reasonable price (pshhh they even have deals sometimes). The food is actually very good, just pricey for what it is, but it's a frickin' movie theater what do you want?Treat it like you would any bar and tip well. These guys work hard. :)

“Nice little local spot, great fit for Madison.
I can't believe I've never wandered in here before, it's a fun little bar. If I went out more I could see it being a regular hangout spot. Not sure if we were sitting under a speaker or the volume was a bit high, but slightly louder than my tastes, then again I do like a quieter setting overall so that that how you will.“

“After months battlin’ monstrous waves and outrunnin’ the devil’s own storms, I steered me mighty ship into the harbor of Madison, seekin’ refuge… and perhaps a bite that wouldn’t bite back😏. That’s when I heard whispers on the wind of a place called “City Bar” offerin’ oysters for a mere dollar each. A trick, I thought. Or sorcery!
But by the beard of Neptune, it was no lie.
I staggered in, sea-worn and salt-crusted, and what did I find? A bounty of glistening oysters laid out like pearls from a mermaid’s hoard. Each one fresh as the morning tide, briny and bold, slippin’ down the hatch smoother than a calm sea at sunrise. I devoured ‘em by the dozen, like a man who’d not seen shore in years. My belly was blundered with beer and oysters! The crew behind the bar? A lively bunch, quick with a pour. They showed no haste as I slobbered down about 50! Now this right here… this is the treasure I’ve been searching for!“
