Friendship Cafe & Bakery

I love this place. It's a café whose soul is to help the less fortunate in our world. Sparkling clean, absolutely fresh bakery, a staff that has heart and performs their jobs with a smile. Bonus: their bagels are the best I've had in Milwaukee.

Went there for event

Where to begin. As we walked in; we observed a child behind the counter where the food was being prepped. I asked for a splash of cream in my iced coffee and received something that tasted like milk with a splash of coffee. To top it off, we waited almost 45 minutes for the chickpea tuna salad (which was the only good thing we got) and the blandest breakfast sandwich I have ever had. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, nor will I ever go back.

I just discovered this place and cannot recommend it enough! The food and bakery are delicious and affordable and support an amazing cause—people with disabilities. Just look at this beautiful loaf of bread! It's a great place to set up shop, read a book, or work on your laptop.

Our child takes a baking class every Monday and Tuesday. We tend to purchase goodies almost every time we take her. The staff is friendly, and the treats are so tasty.

When your goal is the whole experience, and you believe in families, and you want healthy food, and ESPECIALLY when you have a family member who is ADHD (for example), this is a wonderful restaurant! It's welcoming, peopled with kind hearts and knowledgeable, empathetic folk. It has a sensory room, and an art room with small, achievable projects. True, the menu is limited but the food is healthy and fresh, and by this time, aren't you sold on it? Go there. You'll be uplifted! We were.
