Ricky's Double Barrel is a wonderful surprise from the moment Nate greets you. If you're just there for cocktails it's cozy and super clean. The food is off the chain. I've eaten there twice, the Beef Rouladen was is a great proportion and the Spaetzle is buttery delish and homemade. The last experience was with Beef Stroganoff. Based on the reviews, Ricky's Double Barrel Inn is a casual fine dining bar and restaurant that hits a sweet spot between laid-back comfort and upscale vibes. The atmosphere feels polished but not stuffy, and the supper club atmosphere is noted. The food is excellent and perfectly prepared. The prime rib special was tremendous, and the Ruben rolls were absolutely fantastic. The fish fry is amazing, with a light breading and delicious taste; the Friday Fish Fry Sampler with Walleye, Cod, and Lake Perch is worth the price. The Homemade Potato Pancakes with Maple Syrup are very good. The green beans and rice are seasoned perfectly and cooked just right, and the cole slaw is some of the best. The prices are very reasonable. The service is great, with servers described as delightful, super friendly, courteous, and very personable. The staff is attentive. The building is older with multiple level transitions, which is not user friendly for those with handicaps. Parking is a little tight but doable.
