“Came upon this little gem when looking for a place to have some drinks before a show and so glad we did! This place is so cute, it’s small but it’s very nice inside and has that nice feel of comfort. When we got there it was slow but it quickly got busy and the bartender, Christina, was the only one there besides the cooks and she ROCKED it. She remained collective and calm during the rush that came out of nowhere. The food is also amazing, while we only had a couple of apps, the burgers looked insanely delicious and we are definitely going back to try them.“

“Slim & Christian were great bartenders... PROFESSIONALS! Slim gave us a shot of Killepitsch... A liqueur that is better than Jagermeister. The pretzel was insane! The beer was beyond amazing. If you come to Milwaukee, come here and be ready to drink some amazing beer!“

“I had a catfish sandwich the other day and… The bread was toasted just right with butter on both sides. The onions, lettuce and tomato was perfectly crispy. And the fish was fried to perfection with a tasteful crust. I opened it up and gave it perfect sprinkles of hot sauce to top it off. First to last bite was heaven on earth.“

“Hands down one of the best establishments in the greater Milwaukee area! The food is amazing and CHEAP, as are the drinks. The bartender is a woman of the highest class, and the patrons open and friendly. It's like a blast from the past, few places of this caliber exist anywhere in the United States. It's up to us to give it the business to keep it here!“

“So the review written by "Being Still", I was there with this person. The restaurant reached out to this person through Messenger, but because they blocked Being Still, there is no way to respond to them. And they took the comments off their facebook page and blocked Being Still.... nice.... Seems sneaky to not leave a honest review up for people to see the conversations, but to only have the good ones on your Facebook page. Instead of having to go look in the review section to find honest reviews.“

“Was never to Oscars before. I didn't expect that I'd be eating the greatest burger I've had in my Life. Meat was thick and juicy. Bun was clean and soft. Onion rings were hot with a firm dense crust. My friend and I were almost in disbelief. Staff was incredibly polite. Clientele, (place was packed), were well-mannered. I'll definitely be back. 10/10“

“Exciting First Fish Fry Experience of Lent 2025!
Today, I finally had the chance to step into Jerseys Pub and Grill for my first official Fish Fry Lunch of Lent 2025! It's located at 4024 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207, and let me tell you – I’ve passed by this place countless times, but today, I finally got to experience it! What a hidden gem it turned out to be!
It all started when I met the owner, who just so happens to have a son at the same elementary school as my own. That’s when I discovered their Friday Fish Fry – a perfect addition to my Fish Fry Bucket List.
Now, let's dive into the mouthwatering menu options they offer on Fridays:
* Cod Fish Fry: Freshly cut lemon wedge, slaw, rye bread, and your choice of fries, potato wedges, or tater tots, all for $13.
* Fish Sandwich: Served with your choice of potato for $10.
* Shrimp Tacos: A flavorful delight for $9.50.
* Fish Tacos: Tasty and satisfying for $9.50.
* Shrimp Basket: Perfect for seafood lovers at $11.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the owner’s warm and friendly demeanor – she made me feel right at home. Her impeccable service really set the tone for the whole experience.
As for the food – WOW! I was served three generously-sized pieces of cod, perfectly battered with just the right amount of crispiness, yet not oily at all (huge win!). I went with the potato wedges, and they were on point – golden brown, crispy on the outside, and warm & fluffy on the inside. The slaw wasn’t the creamy type I usually prefer, but it had a delightful, crisp flavor that paired perfectly with everything else.
All in all, this was a fantastic Fish Fry Lunch that I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving something new! Another Milwaukee gem to add to your list.“

“We stopped for dinner tonight. Patio is awesome. Our server, Karen was attentive, funny, and fast. We had the Wednesday special, 2 tacos. I make better tacos at home. They didn't come with rice and beans (which most places include) No chips and salsa included, we had to pay extra for that. They had no wings as there is a shortage and the tater tot nachos were cold and bland. We might go back when we want to drink on the patio, but not sure about coming back for the food.“

The items on display are one of a kind, and knowledge the bar owners have about this establishment and the items on display is rare these days. Their love for this bar spills over into the "personality" of this place. Stop in, get a drink, a bite to eat, look around, ask questions...you'll leave with a truly memorable experience!“

“This place is a nice little bar with a litte of everything. Good prices, darts, billiards, a few large televisions for sports and they are open on Thanksgiving. If you are in the area, it is worth dropping in. They also have TouchTunes if you are familiar with the app, so you can pick the music that is played while you are there. There is limited parking, but there is street parking nearby as well.“

“I am beyond disappointed with my experience here. We asked the bartender for a simple mushroom garnish for our drinks, but they mistakenly rang up an order of breaded mushrooms. When we tried to clarify the order, the bartender completely lost their temper and started screaming at us, accusing us of lying about what we ordered. Mistakes happen with orders, but being screamed at by staff is unacceptable. It was embarrassing and ruined our night. We won’t be returning until management addresses the extreme lack of professionalism behind the bar. this occurred at approximately 530-6 pm on 1/2 26 for reference for management as to who the young male bartender on duty was..“

“I’ve lived in Milwaukee since August & this has quickly become my go-to wing place with my girlfriend (who introduced me to it last year). We come here weekly like clockwork now - before moving here it was my choice when I’d come up from IL to visit (when it was my time to pick) - for the Jacks, Ecto Cooler & the Parm fries but also for the EXCEPTIONAL service by Katie. She helps me navigate this large, fabulous menu & she has never steered us wrong. She is so knowledgeable, fast & friendly. I only wish every place had a Katie to accent a menu this delicious. Nom nom nom. Run, don’t walk here.“
