My mom brother and I stopped for drinks and pull tabs and we had a great bartender named Jamie! “We recently got married (October 2024) and Lake Elmo Inn catererd our wedding. It was absolutely AMAZING! We had the prime rib carving station and the walleye as well as the duck soup and salad. Our guests are still talking about the food. We decided to upgrade to the "LEI Experience" which means each of your guests get a warm hand towel, an intermezzo sorbet, and a chocolate covered strawberry!!! We were over the moon with the service on the night of the wedding and all our communication with LEI throughout the process. Special shoutout to Kayla G. who was the most patient, professional, and kind event manager! She answered every single one of my (many) questions and she did so with a smile! On the night of the wedding, we were SO impressed with how fast the servers were able to get to each of our guest tables and keep the flow going. It was seamless, seriously. We cannot recommend Lake Elmo Inn Catering enough. They've total pro's and just know that you'll be in good hands. “We had been to this place when it was called Whiteys several times, but this was our first visit since the change in ownership.

First thing I noticed was they kept the fresh squeezed juice... YAY!!!! I enjoy a variety of cocktails, but a screwdriver with fresh OJ is near the top of my list. So big thanks for that.

I was perusing the menu and it didn't take long for me to notice the lasagna w/side salad. I am a lasagna hound and snob, and have tried it at many establishments over the years. This offering was outstanding, perhaps my favorite (not made by my wife, of course).

P. S. we used to boat on the river and visited Stillwater a lot, but not since COVID. Howard's has been on our radar for a while. Hearing more about it at the Wits Reunion show at the Fitzgerald motivated us to get it done.”

“Looking for a hidden gem of a local ramen shop you may have just found your new favorite here! The apps the bubble tea and the pork omg the pork. Their BBQ pork is absolutely out of this world good. The smokiness, the depth of flavor, the tenderness. No matter what dish you get this in you will be amazed. On top of the wonderful food the woman who I believe owns it but is always working the dining room is just the sweetest lady even. Thanks again for all the great food and memories. “If we are going out for sit down pizza this is our go to spot. We moved from AZ two years ago and this is hands down some of the best we have found since we have been here. You can’t go wrong with any pizza, the Brussels sprouts are unreal, and every flavor of wing is good. Always great vibes here, family friendly, and the staff is awesome!”

“We had Old Southern Bbq cater for our wedding and it was absolutely an amazingly positive experience! The director of catering, Amy, was so helpful and on top of everything. The catering team was absolutely wonderful! All of our guests ranted and raved about the food all night, especially the potato salad and the cornbread muffin tops. Would definitely recommend!”

“I stopped by last night for dinner with one particular menu item in mind… It was the pozole de puerco! I have had people in general rave about pozole and folks in the reviews were raving about it too so I wanted to give it a shot. I have actually passed by this restaurant a ton and have wanted to try the pozole but this was mostly during the summer and I am usually not craving something warm when it is hot out. However, with the cooler temperatures, something hot is just what I was needing this weekend!

You get a generous amount of pozole with two tostadas, lettuce, raw onions, avocado and some “mild” salsa. I say “mild” because it still had a good bit of heat to it! I love some tostadas and these were excellent. The pozole was hardy and they give you a fair amount of meat too. I thought it was good but it might just not be my style of soup. However, I still finished the whole bowl so there’s that. I have also been recommended the tacos here so if I am in the area again, I will probably try those next time!”
