“Tl;dr: Tsuta Ramen has fantastic food and fantastic service.

In an age of maximized profits, viral sensationalism, and unrelenting sprints to be the next big thing, quality has long been cast aside as the focus of most modern business practice. However, this cannot be said about Tsuta Ramen, who combine the lost art of excellent and friendly service with excellent food. While the location may not be flashy, what you get is a humble, comfortable, restaurant with cute decor, excellent food, and supreme service. I’ve visited numerous times, and every time I am amazed. I wouldn’t say I’m treated like family there, because family can be mean. I feel more like I’m treated like a favorite neighbor, being welcomed into the house like I haven’t been seen in ages.

I will preface this review with the fact that I almost always visit during non-rush times. When you do visit, you are greeted warmly and seated right away, given seating availability. Waitstaff arrives very quickly, and greets you with the same warmth, if it is someone different than the person who seated you. The menu is almost entirely Japanese cuisine, and quite generous in its selection. They are always happy to explain the menu, and when you do finally make a choice, your order is whisked away like the waitstaff is on a mission. You get drinks quickly, and every time I have visited, I’ve gotten my food incredibly quickly as well.

The food is simply incredible. American food is meant to be bold, sometimes outrageous, and generally simple. This is not that. Japanese cuisine is meant to be complex, subtle, and titillating. Tsuta Ramen understands this and delivers a product that lives up to the expectation. Everything I’ve had is absolutely delicious, with a symphony of delicious flavors and textures combined in ways only found in Japanese cuisine. I’ve yet to find something on their menu that I didn’t love. And as their namesake represents, the ramen is first rate, with generous bowl sizes. After your meal, you can leave with a fresh boba tea for the road. It should be noted that this is not a sushi restaurant, and they do not offer any sushi on the menu, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

If you are in the mood for Asian cuisine, especially Japanese, there is no better choice. Tsuta Ramen embodies the spirit of incredible service, and incredible food, in a humble, cozy restaurant. Don’t skip this place!“
