“We can’t recommend Sideways enough! Donna, Steve and their staff were exceptional in planning & hosting our son & his fiancés gathering of family & friends the night before their wedding. Donna & Steve were so accommodating with the use of the space. They offered the upstairs and their outdoor space to host the large group of family and friends. The atmosphere inside was charming & welcoming. The drinks and all of the food were amazing! Many family & friends commented on how awesome everything was. All of the staff were top notch -very professional and welcoming. It was perfect!”

“While we’ve been to Billy Bob’s many times (and loved their food — especially their burgers and FRIES are phenomenal!!) we were particularly blown away by one server’s exceptional service last night … her name is Cat 👏👏👏 Not only was she beyond accommodating, letting us change from an outside table to inside as it was cooling off, but we noted EACH TIME she checked on us — our food, etc. — it was HER thanking US. 😳 I was particularly proud — though not surprised — to find without my knowing prior, she is the daughter of a good friend of mine (Gregg), who owns a different local mainstay, Cockatiel’s Bar, also in Tomahawk. Be sure to check out both places, especially Harley Weekend, aka “Fall Ride,” and ask for them by name. GREAT customer service deserves to be shared!”

“I had the Buddhist delight vegetables on the lunch menu today.
The main dish was fresh and a very good quality. There was no fresh white rice coming with the meal only fried rice, which I don’t like because you can’t tell how old it is. The eggroll was good, especially after I soaked it in the soup.
The portions were medium small
The sweet-and-sour soup was not that good in my humble opinion, but it’s probably the norm for that type of soup The atmosphere was minimal, but clean. (although I think I recall a very subtle smell of mold entering the building)
Service was excellent and quick; wonderful people.
For a small town, mom and Pop restaurant I would give them a four instead of a five because of the atmosphere and the plastic dishes. Or maybe a three because this restaurant is putting out a large volume of plastic into the landfill. (Reminds me of Taiwan, where everyone eats in these plastic containers that can take hundreds, if not even thousands of years to break down in the soil And can leach chemicals into the food.) I didn’t eat the soup because I didn’t want to put a plastic spoon into a hot soup.
But comparing them to all restaurants (which is not really fair ) II would give them a three because of the atmosphere and the plastic containers.”

“Clean restaurant inside and out. Food delicious, hot fries. Tried the fish sandwich and would recommend it to anyone. We ate outside by the river. The seating area is set above a walking path. It was a lovely location. It was noisy due to the busy road nearby but didn't deter enjoying an outside meal on a warm, sunny day.”

“I can't say enough good things about the staff at Tomahawk's Subway. After my recent medical diagnosis, there aren't many things I can eat without getting sick, so I find myself at Subway a lot. The staff is always so good to me, and they see me often! I choose Subway A LOT because it's always good, always made right, and the staff is always friendly. It's the little things, like a smile, that can truly make someone's day. Thank you, Subway staff, for tolerating me day after day and making my visits so pleasant!”

“It is a very clean restaurant. The crew is friendly and thorough. The food is always hot and exactly how I order it. The McDonald's in Merrill is the best place to go and I would drive from wausau to Merrill just to eat at this restaurant because compared to the 3 in wausau it is a very good place to eat...unlike the other places in wausau which are not as clean and the food sucks and the employees are rude and force you to finish your meal in less than 30 minutes and then yell at you to leave if you are still seated after 30 minutes even if the restaurant is empty...I don't like being treated like a hobo which is how they make you feel at the McDonald's near the marathon county courthouse...but as for the Merrill restaurant it's top notch all the way...
