The best bar in town, maybe in the county. The menu rotates often, but there's always at least one pasta dish (my favorites). Really inspired fusion foods as well. The cocktails are fun and well formed, or if you have a specific hankering, the mixologists run a full service bar and then some. It's a quiet place, big enough for an intimate dinner with no eavesdropping but small enough that it never gets rowdy.
Lark is my favorite restaurant in Janesville. After dining there once/month for the past several months while visiting my mom I feel like a regular. There is almost no staff turnover so I'm greeted by name and my preferences are remembered. The menu changes frequently and despite being a pescatarian who also has to eat low carb for health reasons, I never have trouble finding delicious options and I haven't had the same meal twice.
