Got in just after a huge dinner rush. Despite this I was treated by a fast, polite, and professional staff who prepared some amazing food. I got the carne asada fries and the flavor was absolutely fantastic. Fresh ingredients and generous proportions. Can't recommend this place enough and I will for sure be stopping there whenever I find myself downtown.

Our team partnered with Mauricio and his family (owners of Tacomex) to host a cooking class for students from Western Technical College. They shared their story of how they came to La Crosse and opened up the restaurant, walked us through how to make birria tacos, red rice, beans, and tortilla chips and then the group was able to enjoy the tacos. Best Tacos Lengua in Wisconsin. I try these everywhere. It's too bad they didn't have the cabeza because those are usually my preference. Fresh salsas, fresh cilantro, fresh onion, fresh corn tortillas, excellent beans. I WILL come back next time I'm in the area. This is a small place which serves up big quality street food and great customer service. I'd drive out of my way for this again!
