The Restaurant at The Charmant Hotel

The Restaurant at the Charmant is always a great choice. Wonderful breakfast with attentive service by Mackenzey.

We visited during our Oktoberfest stay in Lacrosse. Food was great and the service even better!

Amazing food and service, smaller portions and a bit pricey but the quality of the food is great!

Loved the hotel and restaurant ambiance. We went for Sunday brunch and although my breakfast of eggs, ham and toast were exceptional, my husband ordered the cornmeal pancakes which were probably good, but you couldn't tell as they were completely covered in chocolate and a 1/2 coup scoop of some sort of peanut butter frosting. The toppings were so excessive my husband simply air a half inch around the whole outside of the pancakes. We had ordered juice and a fruit plate which we asked to be brought out first so we could enjoy it before our main entrees arrived. Our waitress failed to bring the fruit plate at all and finally noticed her failure when she set out food down. We elected to skip the fruit and she did remove it from our bill. Our server never checked back with us on our meal nor did she inquire if everything was ok with the pancakes despite this large chocolate cover mess sitting on his plate that she never cleared the table of. We were going to plan on making a trip over again and stay at the hotel and enjoy a dinner there, but we've decided it probably isn't worth the investment of $300-$500 if it was anything like our brunch experience. As a side note we stopped by the front desk on our way out to get chocolates, but there was no one manning the desk and there were three groups waiting ahead for service. After about 5 minutes someone showed back up and we waged our turn for service. The chocolates were excellent and we enjoyed our walk along the river afterwards, but overall the Charmant didn't not live up to its hype I'm sorry to say.

Went for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was very good. The service from Makenna was outstanding.

The food was amazing. It tasted as fabulous as it looked. I'd recommend the escargot/bone marrow starter. The lavender crème brûlée was delicious Our server, Luis was knowledgeable about everything on the menu including drinks and wine. We had the perfect experience here and plan to return often.

Our server was amazing, forgot his name but he was 21 and it was his first day back after working there 2 years ago. He's a student at uw l.

We were seated on time in accordance with our reservation. Emma waited on us with a smile. I enjoyed my cappuccino with the Charmant breakfast. My husband had a mimosa and an entree that had ham eggs. Always a great meal at our favorite restaurant.

David's dish, special, was good he stated. My daughter and myself had food that was substandard p. I will not return.

Great as always! Charmant has the most unique breakfast menu in La Crosse. You'll love the service and view of the river too!!!

We have eaten at the Waterfront many times over the years and have always been completely satisfied with the service. Great food & service and a very classy restaurant!

Disappointing experience. Booked Charmant Resturant based on their menu published on line, turned up and menu presented at the table was different, smaller and not with the choices I had planned to order. Waitress apologised and said the new menu came in about 2 weeks ago and others had also made the same comment. So they obviously knew & had not done anything about it. Waitress was not very experienced, probably a trainee. Wine order was not taken till after the 1st course had arrived & we had to ask another waiter if we could order wine. He promptly brought wine glasses and went to get the bottle. Meanwhile the waitress came to the table & tried to remove the wine glasses, to which we had to stop her.

Reservations were easy to make. Staff were attentive and professional. The food was exceptional. We had the goat cheese & honey with baguette as an appetizer, my wife had scallops with mushroom risotto, chili crunch and kale while I enjoyed the ribeye with gem potatoes and asparagus. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. For desert we split a chocolate bomme which was light and flavorful. Highly recommend as a place to enjoy delicious food with family and friends.

Great experience, Great vibe, and amazing staff. Steak frites were a 7/10 but everything else we ordered that night was delicious and worth the price.

My daughter and her friends ate here before prom. My daughter has a food allergy, and they handled it positively and professionally. The girls loved the food and said the wait staff was very nice to them. Thank you you, Charmant, for helping to make their night extra special!
