“Took some business professionals here for a lunch and was surprised to see almost no one inside at noon during the week! There was 1 guy at the bar, but he left almost as soon as we sat down. The bartender was also our waitress and overall she did a good job. Waters didn't stay empty for long as she brought over a large pitcher mid way through the meal. I don't recall her ever asking how our meal was at all. We had to go to the bar to pay the check & ask for to go containers, since she didn't come back to our table. There was maybe 2-3 people at the bar at that point, but I didn't see her visiting with them at all either. 2 of us at the table got the 4 pcs of broasted chicken, one plate arrived right away and looked amazing! The second plate arrived after everyone else had their food and looked pitiful!! The first plate's chicken barely fit on the plate, while the second plate of chicken didn't even cover 1/3 of the plate!! It looked like they ran out of chicken and either cooked up some Cornish game hen quick or shot a crow! Very disappointing! The side salad was also pretty minimal, lettuce, cheese & croutons, nothing more. Everyone said their food was good, but I just ended up getting the short end of the stick. I would have thought maybe they'd divvy up the smaller pieces between the two plates instead of giving one plate all the mini pieces!”

“Food is great!! Burgers are the best we've ever had. I like what they've done with my grandfather's old cafe (Shafer's). Service could be better. It can be super calm, barely any people and the servers just stand around, talk to coworkers, don't check up on us. Last night our server didn't even check on us. She was there to take our orders and then give us the receipt at the end. She decided to chat with the bartender after we asked for boxes and were ready to pay. And again, didn't even check on us at all even though they weren't busy. But the amazing food keeps us coming back. It's pricey, about $50 for two people to get burgers and one appetizer, but it's delicious. Kudos to the chef.”

The bread, appetizers and salads were tasty, we enjoyed delicious cocktails, and the main entrees were delicious and cooked to perfection! The pianist inside gave a romantic feel to the evening. “My review is based on how 5 J's is a community-minded business. I am the student council advisor at a nearby high school, and this place helps us raise funds to improve our school by donating the cans that come from the patrons who go to their establishment to our aluminum recycling project. They don't have to do this, but in talking with the owner, she very much wants to support the school and students rather than making a few bucks. If you ask me, that is pretty amazing, especially in this economy. We can't thank them enough for their generosity! So if you are looking for a friendly place to relax that supports students they are near, this is the place!”

I honestly can't say enough good things about this Subway location! I actually drive out of my way, passing another Subway, just to come to this one – that should tell you something right there.
What truly sets this Subway apart is the awesome staff. Every single person I've encountered has been friendly and efficient. More importantly, the food is always prepared perfectly. There are no sloppy sandwiches or missing ingredients here; everything is done right, every time. The ingredients are fresh, and they definitely don't skimp on the portions – you get a really nice sandwich for your money.
The customer service is truly exceptional. There's one lady in particular who has served me on three separate occasions, and I just adore her! She's always so pleasant and makes the whole experience a joy.
If you're looking for a Subway where you can count on consistently well-made sandwiches and fantastic customer service, look no further. This location is the best around, and it's become my go-to spot. Highly recommended!”
