I love the vibe of Barriques on Monroe St as well as the drinks and food options. When I'm looking for a place to get some writing done and also have tasty options in a convenient location, Barriques is the move for me.
Great food, great coffee, phenomenal service! Coffee order was made quickly and the cold brew was excellent! The young gentleman who took my order during lunch on March 24 was also very patient with my hungover self and my lack of coffee that morning. Would recommend to anyone in the area. The power burrito was especially delicious.
I find the environment at this Barriques ideal for working with a cup of coffee for intense days, or chitchat with friends over a glass of wine. If you are feeling bookish, there is a public library a block away to rent a book and sit down with your favorite beverage. Great coffee, selection of wine and atmosphere. Food items are decent too. Now a few minor gripes. Baked goods are below average. The place can be a bit dirty and unkept at times.
