I find the environment at this Barriques ideal for working with a cup of coffee for intense days, or chitchat with friends over a glass of wine. If you are feeling bookish, there is a public library a block away to rent a book and sit down with your favorite beverage. Great coffee, selection of wine and atmosphere. Food items are decent too. Now a few minor gripes. Baked goods are below average. The place can be a bit dirty and unkept at times.
Every time I've ordered coffee there it comes to me lukewarm, so when I put cream in it, it becomes cold. And every time I've pointed this out to the staff, they've told me it's cold because I put cream in it. Duh! Know why that is? Because the coffee isn't hot to begin with! Great tasting coffee and sandwiches! Their wine and liquor selection is quite large. There is a fridge with chilled beer and wine too. My husband, who loves bourbon, is impressed with their selection. They also have coffee presses, and other fun and unique purchases. It can take a long time to receive your order.
