The specialty is chicken, and it's mighty fine. I had the regular chicken sandwich, fries, and a cookies and cream milkshake. Nothing needed extra seasoning, and honestly you could eat the fries without any condiments. There was a water cooler too, and the only criticism I could have is adding a little bit of ice so it isn't room temp. The bathroom is clucking fun to view, too.
Food, Service, and atmosphere were excellent! The chicken sandwich was fresh and very tender. Try their cheese curds and chicken tenders with some honey mustard dip. They have a new product they are testing called roasted shishito peppers, and they are awesome! I highly recommend stopping at Butterbird for the best chicken in town.
It is spanking clean, service is great and the atmosphere is awesome. This is a fun place that welcomes people, is connected to Madison and football and has a perfect fried chicken sandwich. I would order the original with extra pickles next time. I don't even like kale salads but I love their kale salad. Lemonade was perfect sweet and tart and freshly squeezed.
