Best bar in Madison by far. Been coming here for 15 years. My home away from home. I keep coming back because of the bartenders and (compared to most Madison bars) fairly cheap drinks. Highly recommend coming by for Jeopardy every weekday at 4:30. It's a really good time, and if you answer Final Jeopardy correctly, you win a prize.

We visited Crystal Corner bar for the first time this weekend. I really wanted to like the bar but the bartenders had the worst attitudes. They were unfriendly, cold, and didn’t even finish taking our order before walking away. The woman who took the first half of our order never even came back to collect our payment… our interaction with her was just a very odd exchange. For such a cool and divey atmosphere, it would be cool to have good service too. Oh well.

The only food is pizza, chips, candy bars, & popcorn (complimentary). But you can carry-in or order-in food if you like. Great bar staff. Popular place to watch the games (Packers, Brewers, Badgers).

Second experience in a row where the people I was with felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. Use to be in the Madison top list. No longer feels inclusive or friendly.
