We are out of towners who love this traditional steak and seafood restaurant! We have eaten at Delaney's several times in the last 6 months, while visiting Madison, and every time our dinner has been delicious. We had reservations for our first two visits and dined with friends in the dining rooms that are very quiet and private. The service by Peter was wonderful and the food was delicious both times. Great place, great steaks and friendly service. Get the ribeye with the truffle butter, it was so savory and delicious. Cooked to a perfect medium rare as well. This is the new birthday spot. Great old school supper club vibe. Also I love a place that will do Bleu cheese stuffed olives in your martini. Make a reservation early in the evening because it gets busy, even on a Wednesday.
Love love LOVE this spot. The atmosphere was very warm and our server Peter was a delight right out the gate. I mentioned possibly upgrading a side to a steak dinner with the tomato bisque even if they have to add an upcharge. And Peter ironically said that he usually always mentions the tomato bisque. His demeanor was fun and playful but at the same time very professional. I love when I can find that in servers, and I should know, as I am one myself. ;) The calamari was delicious...
