I am so grateful for EVP. It offers a precious and unique third space to so many Madisonians, amplifying local values like forward progress and community. When I go, I see folks huddled around tables doing political advocacy work, friends catching up, students on laptops, people reading the news, parents and kids, tutoring sessions—people socializing and exchanging ideas! I love this coffee shop for so many reasons. I’ll just make a list.
delicious baked goods made by staff and consistently special.
The people who work here are so friendly and kind. It’s amazing how much better your day starts when you interact with such lovely people. I have never had a negative interaction even during the very stressful pandemic. They have a keen sense, of humor and are life-loving.
I like the way that there are regulators here...

I love this place BUT some baristas suck. If I want an iced drink I do NOT want to see hot water used ending up with melted ice and plastic and a crap drink. Also stop over tamping.
