Great experience tonight. Ordered drinks that came out to about $15 and left a $4 tip (which is more than 20%), and the bartender was super appreciative and friendly about it. We were excited to try out Genna’s since we’d heard great things, and it looked super cool when we walked in, even though it was busy. We were already planning our next round. After that interaction, he totally made our night. Will definitely be coming back!
This has been my goto downtown bar for outdoor patio seating for years. I have many fond memories here that go way before they even had outdoor seating. It's a rarity at Genna's to not make a friend if you hang out for a while. Always friendly people from patrons to staff and even the occasional interesting passerby. Drinks are very reasonably priced especially considering you are in the heart of the city. Happy hour feels like a steal, all things considered.
Genna’s is an iconic Madison bar! The patio is excellent in the summer to take in some sun and the view of the capital square. Service has remained amazing over the years and the bartenders truly make you feel at home. Stop by on the weekends for the best Bloody Mary ever!!
