The food price and portions were excellent. The missing star is for the wait time for a table and bathrooms. A single toilet each, male and female. This place gets super busy. We got there before the rush and still waited 30mins for a table. However, during the rush, it's probably an hour wait.

Visit Ha Long Bay for the first time on a Saturday evening around 6 pm with a party of 7. Had heard so many great things about the Vietnamese + Thai / Laotian foods they were serving. The wait time was around 1.5 hours (which was very reasonable considering we didn't have a reservation). We tried many different dishes from the wonton soup to Pad Kee Mao to duck curry to the yellow curry, and everything was tasty and flavorful. The staff were polite and helpful with confirming if certain dishes contained ingredients that members of my party were allergic to. Overall, it was a good experience & excited to see the opening of their new location!

The food is consistently delicious and the wait is consistently long. Without fail you will have to wait an hour from when your order is submitted.

I visited Ha Long Bay for the Pho. I have to share with readers that I was a little disappointed. My table surface was not clean or prepped. My bowls for the Pho were dirty. I approached a waitress, and she was shocked. A waiter then did his best to rectify the situation twice! The rice was dry or a day old. You can ask the staff to SPLIT a big bowl of Pho for two, however!

Arrived for dinner on Monday evening, it was busy but I was seated quickly. I had a glass of red wine and ginger tea and split the Pad Peg red curry with chicken and drunken noodles with beef with a friend. I was impressed with the dimensions of spices and flavors with both dishes. Service was excellent.

So, I'm a Madison tourist who lives in Chicago and I'd heard about this place from a couple of websites ("Best Restaurants in Madison" lists, "Things to do in Madison" videos)--and it's completely justified! Delicious and amazing! Probably the best Tom Kha I've ever had and my server was so sweet and helpful--can't wait to go back!

Delicious Thai and Vietnamese food! This place has stayed consistent throughout my years in Madison. There is usually a wait for dine in and take out (for good reason).

Quality of food has suffered since the change in management. Pad Thai is less flavorful, change in noodles, tofu and sauce, tastes more processed. Pad Wan Sen is also not what it once was, too salty. I hope this was an anomaly and the quality returns to its usual glory.

My friends and I joyously welcomed the Year of the Dragon with vibrant festivities at Ha Long Bay, where a mesmerizing dragon dance captivated our senses! Here's a glimpse into our culinary adventure: Appetizer: Spicy Wontons (Pork and shrimp delicately wrapped in wonton skin, nestled amidst bok choy and napa, drizzled with a sweet and spicy soy-ginger sauce) Rating: 4/5 Entree: Pho (Aromatic beef broth adorned with a symphony of green onion, white onion, cilantro, fresh bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno, lime, beef, and shrimp) Rating: 3/5 Drink: Lemonade Refreshing and invigorating Rating: 5/5 While the spicy wontons failed to deliver the anticipated kick, the depth of flavors in the pho fell short of my expectations. The beef broth lacked the robustness I crave, necessitating the addition of hoisin sauce and sriracha to elevate its profile. Nevertheless, despite these culinary nuances, the experience was enjoyable overall. Given the enchanting ambiance and the potential for culinary delights, I remain open to revisiting again.

Recently listened to an episode of screw it let's do it, and I heard your story and the story of the restaurant. So my husband and I had a date night last Saturday and we were so impressed with the service and the food. We brought our adult kids back on Tuesday for another round. Great story, you have a great service and great people and incredible food!

Best thai I have had outside thailand. My sons favorite place in the world. We go for his birthday every year. Can't say enough about this place , only complaint would be that they are so busy - they should expand....
