Love dining in here, have had poor results with take-out.Their lunch specials can't be beat! If you're looking to get off campus or do a lunch between appointments at the hospitals, and Chinese food sounds good, you can't do better in the neighborhood than Hong Kong Cafe.
Far and away my favorite Chinese restaurant in Madison. The food is excellent (I highly recommend the potstickers and any variety of fried rice) and the staff are kind and friendly. Service is excellent if you choose to dine in, and their carry out is always speedy. This is a superb local small business, and absolutely one that you should support.
I wanted the Christmas Eve Chinese food after church experience and this was great. Clean, friendly. Food was ok,not great. We have lived in Madison 35 years and finally made it to Hong Kong Cafe!
