Les délices de Awa Reviews
Today was the first time I have had West African food, and it won’t be the last time! This place is a gem in the Atwood neighborhood. It was delicious!!! I had sauteed goat and yuca fries as the appetizer. I don’t like yuca and normally won’t eat it, but it was so good. The aioli it came with complimented it perfect. Excited to try other meals here.
We had a wonderful dinner at Les Delicies de Awa!! The place is comfortable with bright art. Home made juices were all fresh and lovely. The whole Branzino was amazing and plantains the best Awa puts love in every dish and served each plate personally. We will be back !!
My Husband and I went for lunch today and we're blown away by the hospitality, the beautiful artwork and the amazing food! I got the Garba with King Mackarel and it was one of the best things I ever put in my face! I can't wait to try the rest of the menu <3

Les délices de Awa is a restaurant that offers delicious and tender meals, focusing on Suya dishes and halal options. The lamb and chicken Suya are particularly praised for their perfect seasoning and tender meat, while the beef pastel and plantains are also popular choices. The tilapia dish is another recommended option. The restaurant features a warm and lovely interior with beautiful murals, creating a unique atmosphere enhanced by the mix of music and conversation. The staff are welcoming and friendly, contributing to a positive dining experience. Some reviewers have noted that not all dishes were to their taste, such as the Jollof rice, but the overall feedback is favorable. The restaurant also provides carry-out service and has a clean restroom. Customers appreciate the clearly labeled vegan options, with meals like the vegan peanut butter stew with fufu receiving positive remarks. Although there may be some logistical kinks, such as menu confusion and entrance issues, the inviting decor and ample seating make it a gem in Madison that many look forward to returning to.
