Level 5 donuts is exactly what Madison needed after some beloved shops around town closed after the struggle of the pandemic.
What started as a small two “man” operation, has bloomed into a booming store front, with lines out the door and often around the block on the weekends.
With their donuts changing monthly, you really can never get enough.
Vegan, family owned and operated, and absolutely delicious- you couldn’t ask for a better place to get your delicious sugary treats!

Incredible! First time visit & WOW! They did not disappoint at all! We got the Mississippi Mud Pie, the Churro and a peanut butter donut. All were OUTSTANDING! My wife stated the Churro donut tasted like the donuts her Grandma used to make from scratch… SUPER HIGH PRAISE as she is not normally a donut fan! Will definitely be making more trips in for this incredible, tasty treats!

Level 5 donuts are a great addition to the Atwood neighborhood! I love that any flavor I get is going to be safe for me to eat, and that it is guaranteed to be delicious. There can be long lines and they might close early due to selling out, but these are both indicators of how good their donuts are. The single donut in the pictures was a surprise donut with gold sprinkles that tasted like maple. In the first picture with 4 donuts, the top 2 are apple cider, the bottom left is death by chocolate and the bottom right is Freddie Krueger. I’m the second picture with 4 donuts, the top left is a cinnamon roll, the top right is Boston cream pie, the bottom left is raspberry and bottom right is cran-raspberry. The flavors change regularly which is a fun option for a donut shop.

Waited in a line for 20 minutes at 30° F only 15 minutes after they opened. Finally got in, half freezing, just for an employee to say that their website was NOT UPDATED regarding allergens. They advertised being nut-free, and as soon as I stepped in, donuts with peanuts, pecans, and pistachios were on obvious display. I can't say for certain that any of what they say on their website is truthful, but based on the obvious lie on their website, I doubt much of it is.

Can't believe these are vegan, they're absolutely delicious and ngl, kind makes me wonder how incredible they could be if they used eggs 😁 (maybe a spinoff brand down the road??)

Boston dream was definitely my favorite but the blueberry sammi thing was very good too, and the sweet potato casserole was surprisingly delightful!

Nothing was bad, everything was fresh, but line gets long fast so he there before they open!

Also found out the hard way they're closed Mon and Tue so be advised 👍

Level 5 doughnuts is level 5 out of 10. Somehow dry and burnt at the same time and the texture is like chewing on tinfoil. If eating a regular doughnut makes me a bad person so be it

We love Level 5!!! We used to drive around to various coffee shops, trying to score a donut, and are so thrilled to see Level 5 with their own shop. I'm not vegan, and these are easily the best donuts I've ever had. The simple chocolate glazed donut is my favorite. What a Madison treasure!

The Blueberry Lemon donut at Level 5 Donuts. The glaze hit first — bright and zesty, like a citrusy wake-up call to my soul — and then the blueberry swirl arrived to remind me that happiness is, in fact, fried dough.
It’s vegan, but don’t let that fool you. Somehow, this little circle of joy manages to be crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and absolutely loaded with flavor. I’m pretty sure angels weep with envy every morning this donut sells out (which it does, and you will regret sleeping in).
If I had to describe it scientifically: it’s like a lemon married a blueberry in a field of sugar and sunshine, then eloped straight into a vat of glaze. The texture is perfect — no oily residue, no cloying sweetness, just pure donut nirvana.
I came intending to “just grab one.” I left with a 1/2 dozen, a sugar high, and a promise to reevaluate my life choices — but in a good way.

Saw this donut shop while out and about and popped in to try it. Immediately considered in the best donuts in Madison once I tried them. Wasn't until my second or third time in that o even realized they were all vegan!

We love this place. My littles and I have issues with dairy so it’s nice to not have to worry about that. And the donuts are absolutely delicious!

Supposedly great gluten free donuts but they don't make enough for the general population to have any....can't wait to try one someday.
