Just came across a disgruntled employees obvious BS post on reddit r/madisonwi so watch out for reviews posted at around the same time as this. BUT seeing that ridiculous post reminded me that I love this place and have literally always had a pleasant experience. Just in the past year I've been quite a few times and every staff member I've interacted with was attentive and a pleasure to be served by and the food was great too.
Mickey's Tavern is a small bar/pub/tavern on Williamson Street on the corner of Thornton Ave.
The place gives off an old school pub vibe, but it's also clean and up to date.
I didn't know what to expect when I walked in, but the bartender greeted me immediately and came over to take my drink order. He was back shortly to take my food order. I felt well taken care of.
I wound up having the Mickey Burger which includes fried onion strings....

Always a good evening on the patio and hard to beat the prices. This is a place we come back to over and over again in the neighborhood because it has good food, cheap drinks, and a quaint little patio. Would recommend for drinks, dinner, and anything in between.
