I’ve never been kicked out of anyplace in my life but Maybe I tipped too well or sipped my drink too quietly or she mistook me for someone else but it’s not a bar I would frequent or would ever go back to

I’ve been a semi-regular at The Atwood, but a Friday night in late August 2025 ended my business there. As another patron was leaving, he flipped me off and mouthed an insult. I stepped onto the public sidewalk and told him he could say it to my face. A staff member, Vanessa, came outside, put her hands on me, and ordered me to leave, saying I couldn’t “yell at new patrons.” I left.
When I later tried to address it offline, someone named Isaac—who is associated with the bar—sent me a profane, insulting text instead of attempting to resolve the situation.
I’m not expecting perfection—just basic de-escalation, no unnecessary physical contact, and professional follow-up. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning.
