The second I walked in (I’m not white) some bartender I’ve never seen before accused me of being kicked out from the past. I’ve never been kicked out of anyplace in my life but Maybe I tipped too well or sipped my drink too quietly or she mistook me for someone else but it’s not a bar I would frequent or would ever go back to

I’ve been a semi-regular at The Atwood, but a Friday night in late August 2025 ended my business there. As another patron was leaving, he flipped me off and mouthed an insult. I stepped onto the public sidewalk and told him he could say it to my face. A staff member, Vanessa, came outside, put her hands on me, and ordered me to leave, saying I couldn’t “yell at new patrons.” I left. When I later tried to address it offline, someone named Isaac—who is associated with the bar—sent me a profane, insulting text instead of attempting to resolve the situation. I’m not expecting perfection—just basic de-escalation, no unnecessary physical contact, and professional follow-up. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning.
Was better when it was Mr. Robert's.

I am not a repeat customer... Many appeared to be regulars. I was hoping for a more welcoming atmosphere.
Probably will not return.

Bad service
Food is okay. Staff and guests are great. But my live music is waking up the sleepers who slept for too long. R&B, Jazz, Pop, Soul etc...

Popular fun spot to meet your friends for a drink in the heart of the Atwood Ave historic arts district.
The Atwood is great. They are firm believers in keeping their guests entertained. They have Wiis and other video games around with plenty of controllers to play plenty of drop-in style games.
We rented their basement last year for an event and it was great.

Super cool lil place. Very friendly staff and patrons, overall a great vibe. Pool table, jukebox, darts, plenty of TVs. They host a Smash Bros tournament once a month that is always an absolute blast.
