This place still exists?!? Go while you can if you are in the area. This was one of our favorite places to hang out when we lived nearby. These types of places are a dying breed in Madison.
Woody Anne's for what it is is a great hole-in-the-wall bar in Madison. If you get tired of the trendy, hipster bars around the neighborhood and you just want a PBR or Miller Lite, Woody Anne's is for you. They have a shuffleboard table, several TVs with sports and a friendly bar staff. But again, it is a lovable old-time dive bar.
I love this little dive! It's the quintessential neighborhood watering hole, they do not have food, craft cocktails, but the bar staff is friendly and I've struck up conversation with my fellow patrons every time I've been!
