“Wow!! What a wonderful place! My new favorite! I left feeling so healthy and good about myself ❤️❤️❤️The food was absolutely and I mean outstanding quality and flavor!!! Sarah the owner was our bartender and was such a sweetheart. I can’t get over how good the prices are!!!! We had two meals two bears and two cocktails and it came out to around $40! There’s also games to play while waiting for food. We choose to play chess. Enjoyed every second being there. She has a little shop in there too has dry herbs and even raw frankincense! Beautiful porch to eat out on too! Really neat place!”

“Typical diner / cafe. Friday fish / shrimp fry was terrific and is done all day Friday. I really liked how the shrimp were battered. Came with choice of potato and I did the baked potato with butter and sour creme. Comes with salad bar, which was smaller though sufficient.Note that they bring the fish and shrimp to you and if you want more just ask and they bring more out fresh, which was fine.”

“Our New Year's Eve reservation at Chef Shack was our first time at the restaurant, and not the last. Bay City is a humble blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of town, so it's easy to find the restaurant. Parking was abundant. Upon entering, we found a cozy but not claustrophobic or loud environment. After waiting a few minutes, we were seated at a table for two with a view of the nearby fireplace.Service was impeccable. Every course was spaced out with precision so that we never felt rushed. NYE was a special event, $125 per person for couples and larger groups. The meal included two glasses of wine, a white from the central California coast and a dry red from New Zealand (if I correctly recall). There were also cocktails available for additional cost. There were four main courses offered, the choice taken by our server just after we were seated: veggie curry, steak, venison, or seafood bouillabaisse. Lisa Carlson of Chef Shack and Chef Nettie Colon were partnered for this night.The first course was a chickpea puff that was like a seasoned cloud. My husband doesn't like chickpeas but even he loved this. The next course was an empanada made by Chef Nettie Colon. Wow. No doubt, the best empanada I've had in my life. The salad was next, and what is usually a mundane side was elevated to delicious artwork. The main courses were next; my husband had the steak, while I had the venison. Both meats were delicious, but I must say, I'm glad I chose the venison because it was something special. I believe it had a cherry reduction on it, and the fruity sweetness added so much to the meat. After that came the dessert. We were each given a house-made scoop of ice cream to enjoy along with four chocolate and vanilla tartlets and a single slice of Benedictine cake to share. Everything was extraordinary.Something I truly appreciate about the meal was the perfect amount of food. We didn't leave feeling sickeningly full, but were 100% satiated.Chef Shack is truly a treasure tucked away in rural Wisconsin. I look forward to visiting again when they reopen in spring!”

“This has to be the cutest coffee house I've ever been to! ? It's so cozy and the coffee is delicious, the lavender latte is something I've not had anywhere else. You are right by the marina if you'd like to go for a walk or they have several adorable alcoves where you can settle in with coffee and a book. The service has been beyond excellent both times I've been in and the prices are more than reasonable.”

“Home town feel, homemade food, friendly staff, great atmosphere, and very good food. Eat here, nuff said.We needed to travel Lake City and did a search for places to eat. It was high noon and we did not want fast food or big chain eating, we would rather have home cooked cafe style food. Well, we found the right spot, Marien's Deli!We could tell this was a good spot with all the people going in and out which appeard to be grab and go orders. We entered and looked around to figure out the process and layout of this quaint deli. Seating for about 16 and a couple of easy chairs. There was also seating on the outdoor front porch.The cashier (probably the owner) quickly noticed we had never been there before and was very helpful in explaining the different food stations (sandwiches, salads, and soups) and ordering process. My wife had a sub and soup and I had a hot grilled sandwich (panini), chili, and dessert. There were many different veggies, meats, sauces, and bread options which gives you an option to a basic ham and cheese (cold or grilled) to a full blown loaded Dogwood sandwich.I saw at least six different cold side salads to accommodate your sandwich. Of course there was soups! We had the choice of two homemade soups and a chili. And then there is dessert, OMG! I had the peach cobbler(?) and there was several others available. (Get the dessert even if you have to eat it first, trust me on this.)There is also a large variety of bottled drinks and bagged chips to grab with your meal. Oh, there is also a take and bake section where ppl can purchase frozen hotdish and reheat at home.I highly recommend Marien's Deli and would definitely eat here again.”

“We came by on a Sunday in late October, probably the last weekend of good weather for the year. Fall colors were at peak on the drive to the cidery, and the orchard looked beautiful as well. We found the place to be busy but not cram-packed; there was seating indoors and out for people to enjoy their drinks.We had only one person ahead of us in line, so the ordering process went fast. We ordered a cider flight, which included four drinks; at this point in the season, they had five to choose from. We also ordered some cookies and little apple strudels from the bakery case in the adjoining room, which also had different apple bags available for purchase. Several of the apples had a samples available, kept under a dome to keep away the fruit flies that were swirling around.The ciders and pastries were tasty. I browsed the shop afterward. This would be a good place to gift shop. They had jams and jellies, home decorative items that kept to a wine theme, and of course, their ciders and wines.”

“If you love homemade pie this place is worth the trip, most definitely. It was about two hours roundtrip for me, but it's a cute place and the food is also really good. But the pie. You need to order ahead if you want an entire pie or a specific pie, but you can get slices and they have "pie cookies." If you love pie crust, you gotta get a pie cookie. This is probably the only place I'd actually pay for an entire pie and be happy. Actually homemade and so delicious.”

“Chinese food - finally found good Chinese food! The pan fried Canonese Noodles rival my Mother's homemade from SF Chinatown. I can't wait to try another dish next week. I don't do American Chinese, sweet and Sour, Orange chicken and such. But they do it here and I am sure it is great. But to find a place that will indulge my Chinese ethnicity and make me the real deal - I will be back time and time again. This is the authentic, real deal. You just have to order it correctly. If you are into American Chinese, I know you won't be disappointed. They are all about FLAVOR! They are currently only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday - I hope that's only during the winter.”

“OK. I know it's fast food or good food fast. These delicious burgers are a welcome change in mid winter when you miss something off the grill. I like the menu diversity and the taste. It's just something from the past the I like to have from time to time and the prices are reasonable compared to may other "fast food" places.
