I am not a wings fan, but I fell in LOVE with Tommy J's wings! You gotta ask for the bone-in wings that are NOT on the menu. A best kept secret. Also, the Reubens sandwich is to die for. The new owners put a lot of thought and care into the quality of the food. This is a comfortable, clean Wisconsin tavern in the Holyland. Fun special events and a great place to meet up with friends! OMG I almost forgot about the fried mushrooms - wow!
Looking back, we had a great time at Tommy J's. The food was really delicious, the other patrons were great to talk with and the facility was clean. Kelly, the bartender/chef/waitress was quick with the drinks and food. Her attitude and seeming disdain for our existence in the bar was off-putting at first, but kind of endearing by the end of our visit. She's like a gruff middle-school lunch lady who puts everyone in their place, but has a big heart and wants the best for everyone....read full review
