Many places I go lately I see employees who don't smile, don't engage with their customers, and appear as if they don't really want to be there. I enjoyed watching the employees here tonight. They talked to each other, made little comments to each other as they pass by each other and laugh, yet were attentive to the customers. First, we came here in 2015 moving up from Florida. Florida Applebee's always has 2 for 1 cocktails everyday. Not here in Manitowoc. We also moved to Two Rivers so this Applebee's is one of the furthest "local" restaurants to us. Recently we decided to go there on a Saturday night. We generally eat at the bar, Richard was our bartender, food was not only deliciously made (we even tipped the cooks) but Richard is why we will continue to come here. Employees leaving work at 8pm at night yelling swearing like it was spring break. Also managers significant other. Clearly not handycap parked motorcycle in handycap space. Motor cycle douch and manager seated in window. Eastern here in the day no issue. Would not come here at night with a family.
