This was the second time we've been on this trip and it's really quite beautiful. Plenty of sandbars to stop on and even a little secret cove, so keep your eyes open if you do this trip. Owner of the establishment is very nice! Expect to be on the river about 5 hours if you stop a couple times. Really nice scenery, so be sure to take it all in. I would not recommend tubing on this river unless you plan on being out there for 8 or more hours as it is a slow running river. I believe...read full review
I visited the canoe bar a few weeks ago with family. They have a great patio area overlooking the black river. They have a nice selection of cold beer and Fri-Sun they serve food. The service is great and the atmosphere is really cool! They have canoes and kayaks for day trips on the river. Thanks for the great service and food and drinks!
Great people and great service. It's super convenient. They shuttle you from North Bend to Melrose, unload canoes and gear for you. You canoe down a beautiful stretch of the Black River back to North Bend where they help you pull canoes out and unload. Great way to spend a summer day and reasonably priced.
