The crust caught my attention right away. It has a thin layer of crumb under the sauce across the entire platform. No gum line. The slice held flat when lifted. Despite the rigidity, the crust crumbled with little effort when chewed. The crust also had a hint of sweetness, was golden brown, and without char. We love the pizza we buy at The Pizza Shop in Merrill. Not only does it have a nice flavor, it has a crispy crust reminiscent of piecrust. Since we live some distance away, we take home frozen pizzas which are sold half off the second pizza any day, any time.
