The portions were awesome. More than worth the price. Accurate wait time estimates. And the people were super nice and bilingual. I missed cooking like this!

I have eaten at most of the restaurants in this area except this one because of the lack of pictures of the food, no website and no menu to look at. Two things will happen today which is restaurant of the week and a Steve stop by. The place is nice looking with a tropical colorful theme. The have a steam table at the counter with some pre made goodness as a visual come on and get something. I ordered the rellenos de papa and the pork jibarito with PR rice. I will admit like the other reviews service was slow for me being the only person in the place and a good 10 minutes before I heard my sandwich sizzling on the grill. The rellenos de papa is basically a ball of mashed potatoes with a ground meat filling fried to a golden brown. This was bland and needed seasoning but still good with a thin crispy shell. The Puerto Rican rice was also bland with pigeon peas but cooked perfect Al Dente and not mushy. The pork jibartio was very good with a nice garlicky flavor. It's this crispy plantain fried nicely, hearty roast pork, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a very garlicky mayo and I mean fresh garlic flavor. This version was the tastiest, meatiest and biggest pork jibartio I have had in town. I enjoyed the food and like other reviewers I'm not going to take stars away for the slow service because I have never been to Puerto Rico and for all I know this is how service is in Puerto Rico. I have a known good place specific foods like pizza, burger etc etc and I think this will be my pork jibartio place because of the garlic Mayo.

Stopped in for lunchArroz con gandules.....Yea... The rice lacked flavor and color, might as well have been white rice n beans, smh. "Salad" I was served consisted of lettuce n 2 tomato slices, no dressing/flavor to that either. Then there were 2 identical orders put in simultaneously and one came out with considerably more steak than the other....Probably my last visit.....

I come here alot and this time apparently they was in and rush to talk too each other but the food wasn't done my relleno de papa was cold in the inside the meat in my pastelillos was soggy and undone and I dined in and they brought my food out in containers. Maybe they can redeem themselves next time but the food better be better that's unacceptable
