From Melbourne, Australia & St Louis area. We wanted healthy, delicious food before heading to STL Sunday. We ordered 2 vegan dishes & chicken schwarma. WOW!! The hummus, baba ganosh, pita, salads, falafel & rice ...all of it just delicious. It was so reasonably priced & served with such kindness. I left both my glasses & phone at the register. Food was absolutely impeccable. Chicken sandwich was fantastic. Falafel and dolmas were great. Absolutely coming back.
The veggie sampler plate was delicious! The grape leaves were perfect. The baklava was crispy and sweet but not too sweet in the best way. 10 out of 10 will come again!

Based on customer reviews, Mr. Shawarma offers good halal food with the best customer service. The restaurant is family-owned, and a Muslim sister was working. The chicken shawarma is a good choice, with sauce that compliments the chicken and fresh pickles. The chicken shawarma platter and the chicken and beef shawarma plate are well spiced and tender. The hummus is amazing, with pickled onions on top. The stuffed grape leaves are melt in your mouth. The baklava sampler is so yummy. The shawarma and fries are so good with very large servings, enough food for two meals. The $11.99 lunch special is worth the short walk from the courthouse. Food is prepared quickly, with lots of seating. There is a slight discount if paying in cash. The staff are so friendly, and the owner asks for feedback to make sure the food is up to standards.
