I had the Salmon Croquettes, they were to die for. Very light and melted in your mouth. Best in the city. The vibe was amazing. Service was excellent. I found my new restaurant. Rise and grind is a 10/10. Everything I had was amazing, biscuits light and fluffy (buttery). Eggs on point. I didn't have to use any salt nor pepper. Food was seasoned to perfection.
I've only been inside once for an event, and had a pleasant experience but only ordered a drink. Decided to order some food from them today, and as someone who lived in LA and frequented Roscoe's and other Chicken and Waffle spots? This was by FAR the BEST PLATE I'D EVER HAD!! Listen… when I say Rise and Grind is that spot, I mean it with my whole chest. Black-owned, soulful, and straight-up unforgettable. I pulled up on a chill morning and ordered the catfish and grits, scrambled eggs with cheese, and a fresh OJ—and let me tell you… that CATFISH? Baby. OMG. Crispy on the outside, seasoned to perfection, flaky and tender on the inside. It gave southern roots with a Midwest remix. Had me lowkey emotional.
