“Love the Fall season when you can drive the backroads, enjoy the fall colors and discover a new restaurant. Schmitty's on Main did not disappoint. I ordered the Havarti and ham sandwich and the hubby wanted breakfast even though it was 2:45pm. Our waitress was really friendly and we had great service. We like our hot food hot which was exactly what we got. My Havarti and ham sandwich was grilled on garlic sourdough... delicious! I loved that my ham slices were grilled and the fresh sliced tomato gave it the perfect flavor. And you might think breakfast is breakfast but the melted cheese and grilled onions on the hash browns added another dimension of flavor to the perfectly cooked eggs and sausage patty. Hubby chose pancakes over toast and he is glad as he said they were fluffy and golden brown. And to finish off this wonderful experience was the Neillsville High School Homecoming parade. A wonderful surprise. If ever in the area, I'd recommend stopping. It would also be a great place to stop for coffee, dessert or ice cream. The pies and chocolate overload torte listed on the menu board sound yummy good.”

“Was in town for my Great Aunt Dolores Foster's funeral with my mom and two aunts. We all had the Friday fish, mine was baked with lemon pepper and it was fantastic. Great service and great food!”

“Awesome little bar has two pool tables, darts, equipped with a kitchen. Had the steak sandwich last two times I was there, very good food. Frank the owner and his son run the bar.”

“It's the best local food to be sure. The remodel is great and a totally different feeling-a click or 3 more upscale in appearance. The portions usually always leave leftovers which are nice to bring home. The menu always pulls me away from the less expensive and excellent fish fry to some of the other unique entrees. Have never been disappointed in the menu. If Jim is working the bar, it's great night and time to linger there a bit longer. “This was a nice A&w. Genuinely is a good find on a 2 hour car trip. I would say generally it seems like a pretty safe place to eat. It's a great stop if you have car troubles cuz there's no Riley's nearby as well as some mechanics. So if you ever need to get something fixed and Neilsville at this A&w is a good spot.”

“We were here once in the summer for pizza and live music. Then again last week for the sleigh ride. Both times the service, atmosphere and pizza were great. Very friendly owner who strikes up a conversation with everyone. Beautiful location in the country. We will be back for more this summer.”
