“Staff was friendly, order wasn't messed up which is always a plus. Customers who choose to order inside will immediately sense that they're clearly an afterthought over the drive-thru. “I work remotely, and although I have a fantastic home office, I work from libraries or coffee shops about once a week becaues there are just too many distractions at home. From The Ground Up is in my regular rotation of away-from-home work spaces. Some of the older reviews mention that there's no WiFi and they don't take card payments, but that is no longer the case, so don't let that deter you. It's a friendly atmosphere and the baristas are incredibly welcoming, even if you just buy one drink and sit in a booth or at a table for several hours. (Guilty.) I haven't tried the food, but it looks and smells great. My go-to drink is a mocha, and I've never had a bad mocha here in the 2+ years I've been coming in. This is a nice little coffee shop, and I'm glad we have a place like this in downtown Wisconsin Rapids.“
“Adorable spot for coffee and a quick bite. We did not have coffee but ordered sandwiches and cookies. The cookies were sooo good! Sandwiches were also wonderful, loved the rolls they used. I had the portobello mushroom melt, which was great except the mushrooms were cold, seemed a bit off to have cold mushrooms on a "melt". Overall, very happy we stopped!“
“I've lived in Rapids for 2.5 years and go through the drive-thru at least once a week. I've had fantastic service every single time. Even when they're so busy the line of cars is out to the street, the baristas are pleasant and friendly, and the line moves pretty fast. The coffee and chai are always delicious, and Cravings keeps the coffee menu interesting with a constant rotation of seasonal and holiday flavors. This is my favorite drive-thru coffee spot in Rapids, hands down.Cravings recently become one of my favorite work spots, too. Until this winter, I'd never gone inside -- I'm not sure why, maybe just because it looks so small/cramped from the outside. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally went in one afternoon. It's a lot bigger than it looks with two different levels, several rooms, and lots of little corners to hunker down in. The WiFi is strong and reliable, and the staff is friendly even if you hang out for 4 or 5 hours at a time, nursing a coffee while you work. The ambience is nice, and there's a lot of variety in the clientele -- people having business meetings, teenagers doing homework after school, retired people, folks like me who are working remotely. It's a great spot for all kinds of needs.“

“I'm pretty sure that I just ate the most delicious bagel I've ever had in my life. I ordered the cranberry orange. It actually tastes like cranberry and orange. That may sound ridiculous but I've actually had bagels where you couldn't taste the fruit. A little chewy on the outside and yet soft. Oh man. So good. I'm definitely placing a larger order next time and freezing them. We also bought cupcakes, cookies, bread and cinnamon rolls for sharing.“
