Based on the reviews, The Post Bar & Grill, formerly JJ's Outpost, is located right on the Apple River with a nice patio area and a pleasant view of the creek. The shape of the bar is pretty cool and the place is clean, with nice bathrooms. Service is good, with a great bartender who knows how to make a good bloody and a pretty good old fashioned. Food is brought out quickly. The Cuban sandwich is AMAZING, and the crispy tater tots, chicken, cheese curds, and pizza are great. However, the breakfast was horrible with overcooked bacon and undercooked scrambled eggs. Besides great food and service, there is live music on the patio featuring local talent like Tannen Jackson.
