Soup in Oshkosh

“I have been a longtime customer of Olive Garden and visit quite often. The food here is delicious and clean, with a comforting “home-cooked meal” feeling. I would like to share my experience from tonight’s dinner.

Our server this evening was Kailey, and she truly did an excellent job. She brought each of us a small plate for the calamari, so I didn’t have to awkwardly lift the fried squid from the dipping bowl to my mouth and risk spilling sauce on the table. It has been a very long time since anyone has served us with that level of attention.

Many servers here tend to serve based on their mood. Something as basic as giving customers a small plate for appetizers—or even a little salad—is often skipped. I usually order hot tea, and sometimes I receive a pot of hot water to refill, sometimes I don’t. Some servers even refuse to give me hot water (I have no idea why). When I ask for more hot water, they snap back that I will have to wait for them to boil more.

But tonight with Kailey, everything was different. She took care of us thoughtfully and attentively. I felt completely satisfied and respected. Her service was appropriate, polite, and professional. She noticed the small things that make a dining experience comfortable.

“Every time I come here I instantly free welcome and get greeted by all the employees who remember my name. Which is always nice. Makes you feel like your apart of the community even more. The quality of the food is always good and if something does get messed up it fixed right away with a sincere apology. The atmosphere is great. Everyone gets along and works together and there's never any bad vibes in the restaurant.
